Our Community Grants Program focuses on initiatives around four key areas, which are Youth engagement and youth underemployment, Environmental rejuvenation, Education and Community wellbeing, and we believe that shaping our precincts to be inclusive, enhance wellbeing and create a sense of belonging and opportunities to connect is how we create shared value across our communities.
Streetlight has been awarded a grant to assist in it’s program Mission (IM)Possible, a special once-a-month well-being and job readiness session for young people. It is designed to have a significant impact on the confidence of youth to engage in job searching and employment
Playford Community Fund was also successful with it’s application for the Family in Crisis program. The volunteer-run program enables families doing it tough to access food and essential supplies. The grant will allow them to support an extra 200 families this year on top of the 2054 families it served this financial year to date.
Hopestreet was also successful in it’s Café and retail skills training program to support disadvantaged youth to gain employability skills. The program will enable the equipment, supplies and training material required to deliver the program.
