Book Week has arrived, and QBD The Bookshop at Elizabeth City Centre is buzzing with excitement! Chantelle, the wonderful store manager, and her passionate team are bringing the joy of reading to life with a week filled with fun, colour, and creativity. “There is definitely a buzz during Book Week. Our store teams like to dress up to celebrate Book Week, and we love to help parents and kids find the perfect book to help bring their costume ideas to life!”
With 14 years of experience across QBD stores in Adelaide, Chantelle truly lives and breathes books. “Book week is such a great time to be working in a book shop, being able to celebrate reading at any time is such a great experience for our team and QBD in general. Any excuse to share the love of reading is what makes our days fun!” She encourages everyone to stop by this week – whether you’re after a children’s classic for dress-up inspiration or a new novel just for you.
If you’re not sure what to read next, QBD has plenty of recommendations. Their very own CEO, Nick Croydon, has just released a fast-paced historical thriller that’s already hooked readers with its themes of love, legacy, and the sacrifices we make for those we care about. For those who prefer something more whimsical, Chantelle suggests the romantic fantasy genre – her personal favourite. And if you’re not a bookworm? QBD has you covered too, with Pop Vinyls, vinyl records, and a wide range of giftware now available alongside their shelves of bestsellers.
With multiple QBD locations across Adelaide, Chantelle believes Elizabeth City Centre’s store offers something extra special: “We are lucky enough to have such a large store, which means we have a slightly bigger offering in some categories. We can also order almost any book you could want for no extra cost!” On top of that, her team’s warm, customer-first service has built a strong sense of community, with loyal support from locals, schools, and libraries – something Chantelle is incredibly grateful for.
Whether you’re helping your child bring their Book Week costume to life, searching for your next page-turner, or simply want to explore their expanded collection, QBD at Elizabeth City Centre is the place to be this week.
